ME AND JULIET Finborough Theatre

Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical got negative reviews in 1953 but it still ran for 354 performances. It’s not one of their best scores and the actual book is weak but there is an undeniable pleasure in watching director Thorn Southerfield and his choreographer Sally Brooks managing so successfully, and so amusingly, to stage big production numbers in a ridiculously tiny space.
