Street dancing has come a long way since the ghettos in New York in the 1970s and is now one of the most popular dance forms in Britain; in fact, it is much more likely to be found in theatres and on television rather than in the streets. Flawless came to the attention of the public with their success on Britain’s Got Talent and they went on to consolidate their position in the movie, Street Dance 3D. Chase the Dream arrives in London, following a 60-date tour of the UK. Acrobatic, robotic, slick, fast, dynamic, their kinetic, loose-limbed routines are executed with military precision. Their bodies are extremely flexible: they hop, jump, twist, glide, back flip, spin on their heads and bounce on their stomachs. The theatre was full of screaming kids.
