THE GLORIOUS ONES Landor Theatre, SW9

The glorious ones are actors in a famous commedia dell’arte troupe in Italy in the late 17th century who had always relied on improvisation and were disconcerted to find the public now wanted scripted plays. It is the sort of show you would expect to find students performing on a college campus. The songs are by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty who wrote one of the best American musicals of recent years, the infinitely superior, Ragtime.
